Vijay Sethupathi’s Tamil film Baththa, released October 1, blends crime, comedy and emotion and remains in theatres. Reports suggest Netflix has acquired streaming rights, but no official OTT premiere date has been announced. Set in 1980s Madras, the film’s plot centers on an unlikely friendship between a feared gangster and a young schoolboy; box-office runs continue.
