A two-day cultural festival held on September 19–20 near Badrinath temple has sparked widespread online criticism after videos showed loud, concert-style “Bhajan Jamming” featuring singer Priyanka Meher. Organised under the theme “Our Heritage, Our Future,” the event was linked to the Indian Army’s Operation Sadbhavana. Religious leaders, local stakeholders and Congress questioned whether the format suited the sacred pilgrimage setting.
