At Government Primary School Karkholi in Nainital, Uttarakhand, children are learning more than just how to grow vegetables. Guided by teacher Harshit Sanguri, students plant and care for seasonal produce, which is also used in their Mid-Day Meals whenever available. The kitchen garden is teaching them patience, responsibility, teamwork and healthy eating while helping them understand where their food comes from.
