Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma announced the upcoming launch of the Lakhpati Baideo scheme to support women entrepreneurs. Under the scheme, Rs. 10,000 will be provided to women members of Self-Help Groups (SHGs) via banks, pending approval from local MLAs. He also mentioned the third phase of the Orunodoi scheme, offering monthly financial aid to women. Meetings from December 15-28 will allow new beneficiaries to register, while existing beneficiaries will need to reapply for continued support.
