Pakistani IT professional Saif Ur Rehman applied for a remote role at US AI-data firm Innodata but discovered after assessments and an onboarding meeting that the position required on-site work in Delhi/NCR. Recruiters told him the role was location-specific. Several international applicants were on the call; Rehman withdrew and later joined US AI firm Turing as an AI evaluation engineer.
