Anthropic has launched in-country inference for Claude models in India via Amazon Bedrock, enabling requests to be processed locally. The capability, covering Claude Opus 5, Sonnet 5 and Haiku 4.5, aims to help regulated institutions, banks and large enterprises meet data residency, governance and compliance needs while scaling AI deployments, after private previews with partners like Reliance, CRED and NPCI.
