Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav pledged that if the SP returned to power in Uttar Pradesh it would provide free irrigation, clear farmers' payments within 24 to 48 hours, and establish large-scale dairy facilities to boost rural incomes. He criticised the state government over electricity projects and ethanol blending benefits, saying farmers lack support, and vowed to prioritise agricultural welfare and rural infrastructure.
