Ajmer’s Dussehra preparations are picking up pace as artisans work on towering effigies of Ravana, Kumbhakarna and Meghanada. Built with bamboo frames, waste material and golden paper, the structures include a 65-foot Ravana and 45-foot Meghanada. Artisans began work later than usual this year due to tender delays but are racing to complete the traditional centrepieces ahead of Vijayadashami celebrations.
