Ahmedabad-based spacetech startup Satleo is set to launch TAPAS-1, a three-kg thermal infrared camera, aboard SpaceX’s Falcon 9 rocket on October 1. Described by the company as India’s first privately developed thermal infrared camera, it will capture heat patterns from around 500 km above Earth for applications including agriculture, forest-fire detection, urban heat monitoring and disaster management.
