Ahmedabad-based Satleo Labs has sent TAPAS-1, its 1.5-kg thermal-imaging payload, into a 500-km orbit aboard SpaceX’s Transporter-18 mission. The technology captures heat and temperature variations across Earth, with potential uses in agriculture, urban heat management, disaster monitoring and climate research. Satleo plans to launch eight more satellites by 2029, including TAPAS-2 next year.
