An approximately three-year-old orangutan rescued from a cramped bathroom cage in Dombivli, Maharashtra, was repatriated to Indonesia after months at Greens Zoological Rescue and Rehabilitation Centre. Transported by private plane from Ahmedabad under Wildlife Crime Control Bureau and Indonesian supervision, the primate arrived in Jakarta for quarantine and rehabilitation, following Supreme Court committee directives and CITES and Indian protocols.
