Indian teenager Joga Purty has reached the women’s speed climbing quarterfinals at the 2026 Asian Games on her debut. The 19-year-old from Jamshedpur clocked a best time of 7.28 seconds to finish ninth in qualification and advance to the knockout stage. India has never won an Asian Games medal in sport climbing, giving Purty a chance to break new ground.
