After a career in electronics, Nitin Wadhwani founded Citizens Association for Child Rights (CACR) to improve education, hygiene and health across Maharashtra. Starting by enrolling 21 children in Mumbai schools, CACR trains teachers, mobilises volunteers, partners with UNICEF and corporations, and runs menstrual health, WASH, anaemia screening and relief programmes, reaching hundreds of thousands of children statewide.
