Former Sports Minister Anurag Thakur urged that arm wrestling and Mallakhamb be considered for future Olympic inclusion, noting their rising popularity and international participation. Speaking at the opening of the World Armwrestling and World Para Armwrestling Championships in New Delhi, he cited breaking’s Olympic entry. The event hosts over 1,700 competitors from more than 60 countries.
