India and Australia are holding a three-day Drowning Prevention Technical Exchange in Thiruvananthapuram (October 25, 27, 2026), gathering 30 representatives to strengthen water safety, emergency response, surveillance, and community-based prevention. Co-hosted by Royal Life Saving Society Australia, The George Institute and Kerala’s Directorate of Medical Education, the exchange promotes evidence-based strategies, multisectoral collaboration, and practical measures to reduce drowning deaths.
